Hi Lozzie,

Do your cd's include Penistone, or that too far North of Sheffield?

Many thanks

Hi Slizzy

Although Penistone is north of Sheffield, I think it came under Barnsley!??!??

In that area I have Bolsterstone, Bradfield Ecclesfield and Oughtibridge.

Hi Lozzie,

John Waring married Elizabeth Cousins (Cozens) in St. Peter's Cathedral Sheffield in 1801. In 1805 they had a daughter Julia, born in Penistone. On the 1841 census Elizabeth is a widow living in Hoyland Swaine. So John died sometime between 1805 and 1841, and Elizabeth died after 1841, I have been unable to find death records for either of them. If you are able to help in any way it will certainly be appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Slizzy,
If you look at Free BMD there are a number of Elizabeth Warings that died after 1841 some in Ecclesfield & some in Rotherham- both covered parts of Hoyland. You may be able to work out which one if you have more information.
