I'm sorry, but there is no listing for a John Henry Ross at any address in 1911 Street Directory. If you need any further look ups please don't hesitate to ask. Nanna |

Hi Nanna
I'd be grateful if you could check the 1843, 1860 & 1881 directories for Barker - either brewers or builders/ bricklayers. The builders were mainly in Huyton/ Roby, but not sure if those directories above extended that far! Thanks a lot in advance EC ![]() |

Hi I'm new and came across the site looking for Dawsons. I also have Dawsons in my family,John Dawson B1799 married Jane and had several children (8) alice pedda 1830 margaret merley 1831 jemima fenton 1833 william 1835 victoria 1837 john 1839 jane mulvey 1842 laura 1844 I am hoping that some of the unusual middle names are older surnames. he is listed in the 1832 poll book as DAWSON,JOHN,SHIPWRIGHT,GRAFTON STREET,TOXTETH PK.,S & D should say i hvent a clue what S&D meant! I think his parents were ?Dawson B 1770 D bef 1841 and Jemima B 1774 D aft 1841 his brotheres were william 1805 henry 1806 lofthouse 1811 and richard1816 just wondering if anyone can shed more light on this family particulalrly earler in 1790-1840 thank you in advance. i know this family all resided in the Toxtheth park area for several generations also if that helps |
