    Pauline,

I am very new to all this searching business - fustrating and all as it is!

Do I understand your offer in that you only look up marriages.

My GGgrandmother Ann Williams was born in Bristol in 1817/1818 and on her d/cert is shows her mother as Ann Williams with father unknown and that is all I know about her until 1837 when she was on a ship from New Zealand to Sydney with the Rev.Samuel Marsden. I do not know if she came here as a convict, servant or free settler.

Thank you for reading this and I look forward to your reply.

    Hi Jaqui,

Sorry for the very long wait for a reply, have only just found your posting.

Yes the registers are for Marriages only, without a possible name for Ann's father it's very unlikely to find anything, I'm sorry.

    Hello Nanna!

I'm pretty sure that my Elizabeth Hayward ancestress was born c1855 (maybe 11 Sep 1854?) in North Cerney. I know that many of the Hayward family that lived in the area of North Cerney actually came from Rendcombe. Is there any way that you could tie my Elizabeth Hayward to the N.C. ones? Her father's name was Thomas Hayward and he died before Elizabeth married on 5 Feb 1881 (She married at St Mary Magdalene, Kensington R. D., MIDDLESEX, ENG). Thomas Hayward was listed as a painter on her marriage certificate.
