I am willing to look-ups at the Leicestershre & Rutland Records Office - eg parish registers for BMD before 1837 - but I can only go about every 2-3 weeks so please be patient!

I,m looking for birth details of my 3xgreatgrandmother

Frances/Fanny Plant born Whitwick c1818

I have details of her baptism from IGI they are as follows

Fanny Plant 10 Jan 1819 Whitwick Leicester England

Father: William Plant Mother: Sarah

Hope this is enough info, and once again thank you for your kind offer

Owen Plant/Davis Baptised 14 Sep 1834 Whitwick Leicester

Parents James Davis and Sarah Plant.



Fathers details are right but Mother should be Frances Plant not Sarah.



Sarah was Owen's Grandmother not Mother.

Hi Bev - I checked the record for Fanny's baptism (Fanny not Frances) & it as recorded on the IGI - the only additional info is that William was a framework knitter.

No record of a birth as distinct from a baptism - but there very rarely is.

Owen's baptism I could not check as someone else was using the fiche but I will pop back to the Records Office to check that one before the end of the week

Thank you so much for taking the time to look for me, at least i can confirm the IGI have that one right. Was hoping it might of had her Mothers maiden name, but i will have to try and find a marriage to get that, once again thank you
