    Hi Lincs Lady,

I am looking for the burial of Anthony Kemp, who was buried at Woolwich in 1733 (according to F*** ** ****)

If you could possibly check this out from the Woolwich, St Mary Magdalene registers, I would be most grateful.

    Many thanks

    Joan

I have taken a look elsewhere and I think it was 1833 that you wanted? ,so I think this could be him

    Dear Sheila,

That is brilliant - and you are quite right about the century! He's been a very elusive chap - married a Lincolnshire lass in Hull in 1800, then moved to Woolwich; probably dead by 1841. Having an age is really helpful and I am most grateful to you. He was a carpenter, which would have been useful confirmation had the records mentioned an occupation. (Thought you'd like the Lincs connection!)

    Very many thanks indeed. Joan

PS Just checked my tree: this would make Anthony born c1774 - the same year his wife was born in Caistor, Lincs.

    Dear Sheila,

A longshot, but if your registers are indexed and its not too much trouble, could you possibly check Woolwich, St Mary Magdalene, for children of Anthony & Susannah Kemp between 1810 & 1820 or so. I am particularly looking for Sarah Kemp, b c 1815 & George Kemp, b c 1819. Both were born in Woolwich, according to later census data, and I have totally failed to find their baptisms. (Earlier children were born in Hull).

    Many thanks in advance. Joan
