    Default Offer from Australia

I am quite happy to help anyone who may need any sort of information from Australia. If I can't help directly I may know of any websites you can visit or any sort of records you can access. Each state of Australia has its own records and the system of accessing these are all different, some are free and some require a fee. Convict records are quite easy to access and do tell you a fair bit of information about the person you are searching for, especially any convicts that went to Tasmania

Gordon James Choake died 2 March 1975 at Ermington New South Wales. Parents Ernest James and Susie
Audrey Rose Choake died 13 December 1990 does not have her place of death just that she was late of Plymouth England. Death was recorded in the Sydney Morning Herald. It is possible she went back to England and died there.

Unfortunately out births records for NSW only go up to 1910. Marriage records up to 1960 and Death Records up to 1980 but other deaths later may be registered on the Ryerson's Index. Here are the links, they are both free online. If you want certificates from BDM you are best to get them through a Transcription agent, they are cheaper.

    THE RYERSON INDEX

Ryersons is just hosted by Ancestry but it is run by the Sydney Dead Persons Society. So far they have transcribed 184 newspapers with 2,965,994 entries.

No problems Milford Lass glad to help. She may have moved to Watson after Gordon's death. Watson is a suburb of Canberra, but there is a Watson's Bay which is in Sydney. Ermington is not that far from me. My first job was in Ermington.
