I'm trying to find info on Stephen Bott. He had a son George born 1823 or 1825 Yorkshire. Stephen's wife name might be Ann.

Hi Aley, If its the same Stephen Bott, he married Ann Coates 10th November 1817 in Thornton, Yorkshire. I believe George migrated to America, sometime between 1856 and 1861. I'm descended from his brother William.

I am new to this Forum but would appreciate help with my Yorkshire lines

Millthorpe, Obadiah born c 1805 Yorkshire, possibly Wakefield area (I know of
the IGI entries.)
Tillotson - pre 1780 Bradfield and Keighley Mar Betty Atkinson
Rhodes - pre 1780 Bradfield and Penistone
Swan, John and George, brothers - pre 1800 Tankersley (and Rotherham ?)

I know of the Millthorpe's in Rotherham but there is no Obadiah.

Any advice most gratefully received

hi there nana i wondered if you could help me.im researchin my grandads dad.i believe he was born approx 1915, married a lady named edith, had 4 children before divorcing.i know he was in the york and lancs regiment.once divored i believe he left to go to austrailia.thankyou x
