Hello Rod,
Would LAC records include Quebec. I have a grt Uncle who was sent to Canada as a waif and stray, just wondered if there are records of childrens homes?

LAC has started indexing home childrens' names from 1869-1930. You can search for yourself at Welcome to the LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES CANADA website | Bienvenue au site Web BIBLIOTHÈQUE ET ARCHIVES CANADA. LAC houses a wide variety of archives.
