I can do Quebec BMD but need much info as I can get in order to search as it's not easy to search like other area.

Maria Mead married J.A. Tiffin 26 Mar 1862 Camden Twp,Kent Co,Ontario.Can you have a look and see if you can find them?Info I have indicates that Maria died in Kent.

William George Cowling, born 1877, Devon. Son of Henry and Mary Ann. Stonemason. Single (prior to departure). Sailed for Canada - Toronto(?) - 1907. After this I lose all track of him.

I have found reference to a William George Cowling, born 1877, living in Toronto, but he is Canadian born and not my man. Can you trace any other possible record of him, please?

Hi Ed,

I have had a look and the only Maria Tiffin I can see was born in Kent Co, Ontario but c1865. The parents are not the right ones either. I have sent Caist a pm incase he/she hasn't recieved the topic notifications.

Both her and another of her sisters married yet neither family show in any census.What did they have against the census taker(rhetorical)?

I found a Maria TIFFIN on the Canada 1881 census aged 47 widow with two children. Emma 16 and John 9. Here is the link to the census image scroll down to the second page at line 8.

I am aware of them but I do not think that they are mine.My Maria supposedly died leaving no children(whatever that means).Did she have no children or did they die prior to her??
