I have the Leicester and Leicestershire marriage index 1801-1837 and am willing to do look-ups. Please give as much information as possible. I may be able to help with other dates - just ask and I will do what I can.

Hello Gillian, Well I am once again searching for DARBY family

members, and I am wondering if you could look for me WILLIAM DARBY christened 15 june 1783 barrow upon soar,did he marry???



Also could you look up a DAVID DARBY b 3 june 1798 barrow upon soar and who he married???



Their parents were THOMAS DARBY b abt 1764 and ANN DARBY(NEE WILD).

A William Darby married Rose Hainsworth 7 June 1819 Barrow on Soar witnesses difficult to read, may be Ann Leak & John Bonser

A David Derby married Dorothea Thorpe 6 Dec 1819 Cossington Leicestershire witness Joseph Goodman, couldn't read the other.

No other possibles found.

Confirmed dates of baptism for both William & David.

THOMAS DARBY b abt 1788 barrow upon soar and MARY DENNIS B ABT 1787 LOUGHBOROUGHI have they married the 26 dec, 1809



Joseph darby christened 3 june 1792 barrow upon soar married ANN COOPER the 30 june 1814.

Your information about marriages for Joseph & Thomas look correct.

There are also these additional 2 Barrow on Soar marriages 1800-1837. For any additional details I would have to look in the parish records (next weekend).

Would it be possible for you to look up the marriage of John Stephens and Maria Ruding? There first child was born in July 1803. John was born in May 1775. I don't have any dates for Maria. Many thanks.

Its not on my index - it was just outside the index dates - found this on the IGI though.

John Stephens marriage Maria Ruding Leicester St Mary 30 Sep 1800.

I will have a look in the parish register next weekend to see if there are any more details
