hi, could you poss find a birth for me? it is elizabeth brown born 1814 liverpool i only know she died in cheshire in 1841 and wed john sephton in 1836 st philip liverpool anything would be gratefull many thanks x

Would it be possible for you to look in the Drouin Collection, Quebec Vital Records, for a marriage of James Sibbald, a soldier in the 26 regiment. He was in The Quebec Garrison in 1796 and his wife was named Mary, they had 2 children Elizabeth Sibbald and Thomas Sibbald. Possibly married in the Anglican Cathedral in Quebec. The Ancestry world membership is absolutely fabulous, my own one ran out and I am hoping for another one as a Christmas gift this year. I would be very grateful even if you can't find the marriage.

No trace in the Drouin Collection I'm afraid.

Thank you Finbar and Elsabels,
It was worth asking anyway. I will try the National Archives for a regimental marriage as I know they have records of marriages, births and deaths for serving soldiers in the archives for the time period. Apparently The Regimental Chaplain recorded every marriage and I may be able to get a bit of information from there, when I can afford to do so. Again your response was much appreciated, thank you both.
