Hello Louise
First of all please allow me to Thank You for your most generous offer,
I am completely stuck, and floundering at this wall i have hit...
I can't find William Henry NICHOLSON's Siblings, Father or Mother.
Here is what i know of my NICHOLSON Line in Co. Down
William Henry NICHOLSON b 14Jan 1872 in Co. Down, Ireland
m 1) Mary Ann WIGHTMAN 25Feb 1898 Westbourne Presbyterian Church
m 2) Isabella M GLENNIE 24Dec1902 St. Patricks Ballymacarrett
note: on the marriage record of William NICHOLSON & Isabella GLENNIE is the name of Wm's father, noted as Henry NICHOLSON.
This is where my problem begins, can you help point me as to where to look for Henry, i would like to find his wife and any siblings of William.
Kind Regards,
Windsong
Thank you so much for your kind offer Louise.
Wonder if you can find anything for the birth of a John Thornton born abt 1817 in Galway. He married a Mary Kelley possibly from Mayo in the early 1840s. John and Mary migrated to Blackburn/Preston/Rochdale Lancashire with their family sometime after 1846. John was a Tailor by trade.
thank you for your time
best wishes
Maggie
Many thanks for your offer of help.
I am looking for Henry McArdle born abt. 1800 Co. Wicklow
Married Elizabeth not sure when, but first child born 1838 England.

Windsong....off and running with the RAINEY lead....
Hi I have one stumbling block, according to family rumour the following came from Ireland. They are in England 1841 but I cannot find any records of marriage.
Samuel Stevens born c1801
Mary Ann Dodd (Dodds) c1806
1st child born in England 1822!
I would assume a marriage would be 1818-1822, assuming Marys' age is anywhere near accurite!
Many thanks for you time and efforts on my behalf.
Kind regards - Teresa
