All types of help given to Adopted Adults and Birth Families...



I have access to BDM for England & Wales but try and resist blanket

searches.



However they are usefull for obtaining an Original Birth Cert for either Adopted person or Birth Families so long as you have some information to begin with.



If an Adopted person has no information then contact the General Register Office in Southport and follow the adoption link....it will tell you how to obtain a copy of your original birth certificate.

Wonder if you can help me,please?My youngest sibling-Alan Cyril Woodward was adopted aged about two in 1953.The family home was in Stoke on Trent,Staffs;Our parents William and Gladys passed away in 1952 and 3 respectively..Believe Alan was adopted by a Scottish family.

Any help would be much appreciated,
