Can you tell me where George was born? Mariaige record says Melbourne and there are only 2 that would fit. George Augustus Seymour born at Brighton 1847 to John William & Elizabeth, and George Seymour born 1850 at Mt Macedon to Sydney & Elizabeth. [The maiden names for both Elizabeths was not given. [might be on the actual certificate]

If you have a death date or place That would help also because the death index will give his parents if they were know to the informant.

Did he marry Elizabeth Keenan when she was only 15? [If you have his marriage cert. it should have his parents]



I can see there are 7 children to George /Elizabeth keenan > George 1877 at lockwood, John William 1880 Marong, Sarah Jane 1884 at Marong, Harriet Louisa 1887 Marong ,Daniel 1889 Marong, twins Emily born Echuca 1891 died aged15 days and Letitia 1891 died 20 days. [There is also a death of a Violet May Kimball [nee Seymour, dau of george and Elizabeth keenan] 1970 at brunswick.

With the name of the second son being John William it might be a good bet that george was the one born at brighton to John William and Elizabeth.

Hi Genie. Deniliquin is nat far aver the Murray River into NSW from Echuca which is on the Murray river in Vic.

looking at the death records for George it would seem he was the george Augustus born at Brighton Victoria 1847.

I found 3 more children[including the Violet May who died in 1970 Victoria] all born at Deniliquin .> Frank born 1893 he married Holly D V Jeffery 1920 Deniliquin.

Fred b 1895 [cant find marriage]

Violet May b 1898 m Stanley Kimball.

Sarah Jane Seymour married John J Marshall 1905 Deniliquin

Daniel Seymour married Daisy Elizabeth Bell 1911 Deniliquin [Nsw births only go to 1907 but 4 children listed as dying to Daniel and Daisy were a male infant d 1911, Colin Francis J seymour d 1961, Doreeen d 1929 and kevin died 1976 [all Deniliquin]

Harriet Louisa died at Deniliquin 1899

George died 1946 ""

It sounds as if the family settled at Deniliqin for a few generations.

The Deniliquin genealogy soc. had online indexes. If you google them you might find more on the cemetery etc.
