Hi Star.

How early can you search?

My GGGGGrandfather, Jacob B. Kinsmore went to America before 1819. He was born 1789 in Germany, but was pressed into French service where he became prisoner son after the battle of Waterloo (1815) and later escaped.
His name may not be Kinsmore, family mmbers beleive it to be an alias name he adopted when arriving in America. It may be Grosheimer.

So...
Jacob B. Kinsmore (or Grosheimer, or anything else that fits) between 1815-19, born 1789, country of origin - Germany (maybe France)

Sorry if this is too confusing.

Bazza.

PS. Do you have access to outgoing ships as well?

Thanks Again.

Hard one's to track these Kinsmore's. Having trouble locating his son John arriving in Australia. He was either on the 'Rockland' or 'Castle Eden'; he jumped ship so we don't really know which one.

Starlight,

Don't know if you can help me but I am looking for an Elizabeth or Lizzie B Brown born 1891 in Methven Perthshire, Scotland. Her husband died in 1918 and I have an address in Philadelphia for her. The address I have is:
I, 701 Race St Philadelphia.
I got it from the certificate of her husbands war grave. I reckon she went between 1920 and 1930. Don't know if this will help. Could you possibly check passenger lists for me?

Thank you in advance.

Anne

Hi Anne,

There are only 2 listed as born 1891 but they are both infants. There are so many of them around those dates, it would be impossible to say which one it was as very few have the middle initial.

Can you have a look for this lot for me ? They seem to have disappeared by the time of the 1871 census. Vel found them on the 1851 and 1861 and then nothing.I wondered if theyd gone to America.

'Edwin Luddington b. abt 1841
Elizabeth Luddington b.aby 1845
Sarah Luddington b abt 1799

Thomas Luddington b abt 1851
William Luddington b abt 1796

They were born in Turvey and Grendon Northamptonshire.

Thanks

(AKA Mary)

How beautiful it is to do nothing and rest afterwards...
