Hi, Many of my ancestors are buried at St Chads, My 3xgreat grandfather was Samuel Preston, who died of typhus fever in 1839. Do you have the monumental inscription for this ancestor? in fact all of my preston ancestors are buried there, so any "Preston`s" are likely to be my ancestors. I would be interested in ANY of their inscriptions. Many Thanks.
Hello
My gggg grandfather is William Wood born 1769, baptised St. Chad's Over. He married a Mary Hampson in 1794 in St. Chad's and their daughter Martha Wood was born in 1815 and baptised there too. Martha married a John Bettley (or Betely) but I'm not sure if Martha Bettley was buried in St. Chad's. If you've any names in the graveyard that match these (Wood, Hampson, or Bettley) I'd absolutely love to see the inscriptions, thank you so much.
Hi Eibhlin,
I have sent you a pm.
