Thread: My interests in Northumberland

My main interests in Northumberland are the Shiel or Shield family of Tweedmouth, Berwick and Wooler. My 4 x great grandfather Thomas Shiel died in Tweedmouth in 1840. His sons Thomas (born 1798) and George (born 1804) were both tailors. Thomas married and lived in Berwick with his family until 1837, then moved away to live in London. George and his wife Margaret (nee Short) set up home in Wooler. Any information would be most gratefully received.
