Thomas Duffett/Duffitt born c 1801 butcher & bricklayers apprentice also postmaster born in Essex & wife Mary possbly Green born 1798 Warwickshire lived through census 1851 to 1881 in Weedon all children born in Weedon from early 1820s as most of the 1841 census for Weedon is not complete ( destroyed ) I have been unable to confirm they were there but the birth of there children says they were , very illusive family with many name changes not always due to the unusual name , there daughter Jane Duffett married James Warwick 1854 but 1861 she was single & back with her parents although she did re-marry a Mr John Seymour 1864 who was sometimes known as Seaman born in france 1815 , Mr Seymour was previously married to Charlotte Faulkner from Newham who appear's to have died with one of there daughters Hannah around 1861 although not record has been found to support this , maybe the reason Jane Warwick & John has the name Seaman on there marriage certificate ! maybe forgot to divorce which appears to be a regular occurance in my family , John & Jane are the start of my fathers Maternal Seymour's in Rugby Warwickshire area .
Regards Elaine
