Im from Norfolk Clarke in my family tree, from Norwich, my Gran being Maude Clarke, however am noticing that my Clarkes are with an "e", so not sure that I can be of any help to you?

Hi Julia ,

A few of the CLARK family added an ' E ' later on so you never can tell, my Great Grandmother was Jane Clarissa CLARK b1837 Fakenham NKF daughter of Robert Appleton CLARK and Mary HIND mar. Norwich 1826. Robert was the son of Robert CLARK (Clockmaker - Watchmaker) and Susanna APPLETON of St Benedict St Norwich.

I dont have to much info on my Clarke's as yet, however my Gran was Maude Sarah Clarke born 1916, she had 2 brothers George R Clarke born 1912, and Robert W Clarke, born 1926. My Great Grandfather was Robert William Clarke born 1896 and he had two sisters, Katie Clarke born around 1899 and Maude Clarke born 1892, as far as Im aware all were born in Norwich.

I can send you a 7 page report of the family line that includes my CLARKs if you wnt fust give me your email address. Found it difficult to find the CLARKE's you mentioned on the 1901 Census. All I found on findmypast and encestry.com was the follwing entries that mtched your details;-

Maud Rachel CLARKE b1892 Norwich

Kathleen victoria CLARKE b 1891 Mutford Norfolk - not sure about this one

Robert William CLARK b 1896 Mutford Norfolk.

I dont have much more than you have, except, my Gran Maude Sarah Clarke married Leonard Rutland in April 1938, my Gt Grandfather (Robert William) married Maude L Dunham around 1909, they then lived at Russell Street in Norwich. Roberts sister Maude married Jim or James, but they had no children and she died quite young.
