Hi Gillian, my mother's name was Margaret Irene Anderson, I have been searching for a while and I have been through all the right channels, seeing a Counsellor, and have received my birth certificate and information from the salford courts where I was adopted in 1942. I have also contacted the office for further records pertaining to where I was from birth until aged two, I am still waiting for that information.
I did register on the Liverpool and West Lancs Forum and did get lot's of wonderful help, but I still not sure of my ancestry. I was born in Northants at a mother and babies home and really not sure how I ended up in Salford. Thanks Peter |

Hi - I was hoping to find her birth record for a start but that makes it difficult! My hunch would be Margaret I Anderson Sep 1920 mothers maiden name Anderson - Leicester 7a 567 could be a strong possibility. Quite likely a young unmarried woman would choose to go away from home to have her baby and Northampton would be very accessible

Hello Gillian, yes that is a possibility.
There was a Margaret I Anderson born 1924 in Sheppey, Kent mothers maiden name Cork, we followed this one and margaret had married a Leslie Gleadle and had son David. David was contacted by intermediary, but he had no information and was extremely suprised he might have a brother, he also did not know the address in Liverpool and has not been in contact since. I thank you for your help, time is getting on , My children have health concerns, Epilepsy and Crohns disease, would like to at least have some medical history. Thank you once again Peter |

Hi Gillian,
My daughter has been very sick with a reocurrence of the crohn's disease, she was in hospital for 5 weeks is home now and finally we hope on the way to recovery. In the meantime somehow, somewhere,I have lost the information regarding Margaret Irene Anderson's marriage in Leicestershire that you found for me, I think it was to a Mr Baird. I have looked through the Ancestry aid forum's and cannot find it, I am sorry to bother you, but if you can find it I would very much appreciate it Thank you Peter Johns |

Hi Peter - pleased your daughter is on the way to recovery.
I think I sent you information by pm (the name of a possible brother for Margaret if I remember rightly?) - unfortunately I too have been ill and the private messages were cleared while I was away. So.....I am sure I can find the information again but it may take me a few days. Glad to hear from you - I had wondered how you were getting on with your search Gillian |
