Hi Terry,
My grandma's maiden name was Bramley and I have traced our family back as far as Thomas Bramley and Mary(nee Ward). Unfortunately I can't back any further with the Bramley line either. Regards Kathy. |

Hi Gillian Many thanks for the information I can now move on with that line. Could you please tell me where and how you found it and if possible what church.I had an idea that Thomas was from Shepshed as there are a lot of Bramley's there and I think I may have found Mary in Leicester. Many thanks again and good luck for future search's. Tel

Hi tel - sorry - hadn't noted that Kiwi had posted the information. I actually found the entry in the parish registers. I couldn't find anything I went to the records office to look for and decided to give Thomas a try.
But as you see it is on the IGI anyway - not sure how we managed to miss it! Almost certainly St Botolphs (but I will have to check that). Will post when I have done so Gillian Last edited by gillian; 03-05-2008 at 12:52 AM. |

Hi Gillian Thanks for that.I'll now attempt to continue my search in Shepshed. I've found Mary Ward's family in All Saints and will try to find the rest of her line from there. When I go to Leicester in August I'll take a trip to the various church's in the hope of finding more dead people. A bit macarbe don't you think? Thank's again Tel
