Ellen Selina Carr born 1826 St Giles Oxfordshire was the 2nd wife of my Great Great Grandfather Robert McClelland. They married in 1865 Greenwich and Ellen is shown as Spinster. Her Father was Richard Carr Gentleman and her Brother was John Richard Towers Carr who was 3 x Mayor of Oxfordshire. I cannot find Ellen Carr in the 1851 or 1861 Census so I would greatly appreciate all the help I can get with this one. There are three of us in total searching for Ellen. Many Thanks

Maybe the information that she was a spinster was incorrect. Have you seen this marriage?

Hello Gillian,
Thankyou for your help and replies to my post. Yes I have all the info you sent through and Ellen,s Mother was Sarah Towers. The death info for Thomas Dell 1851 Um... dont know but I will kep it in the back of my mind. The Thomas Dell Coach Maker that married Ellen Selina Carr can be found on the 1851/61 Census unless its not him in 61 down as Lodger Coach Maker? I,m going to work shortly Gillian so I must make tracks.
