Thread: Smout/Morris

I have a Richard Smout (b. 1757) marrying Hannah Morris at Mochdre parish church on 25th July 1774.

They had a son Abraham and his wife was called Elizabeth Anne, but I don't know her maiden name.

IGI has an

Abraham Smout Marrying an Elizabeth Lewis 8 Aug 1813 Mochdre Montgomery Wales.

I have a list of Richard and Hannah Smout's children passed on by a distant cousin - as well as Abraham (1792), there's Thomas, Richard (1777), Edward (1778), Martha (1781), John (1782), Joseph (1789) and William (1794). I'm actually descended from John (1782), who married Mary Lankson on 2nd November 1806 at Sedgley parish church, Staffordshire, and seemed to be residing in Cann Lane, Coseley, Staffordshire. It's him really that I'm trying to trace, as I can't seem to find a record of his birth or death.

My great-grandmother was Grace Elizabeth Smout born in Victoria Australia, married Sydney Rawson he's my greatfather to my father side. Here's the names traced from Grace down to Richard. Grace Elizabeth (daughter) -> Edward Williams (1848)--> Abraham (1820) ---> Abraham (1792) ----> Richard (1757).

Grace's last 2 out of 12 children.... twin daughters are still alive and well in their 80s.
