I am searching for info regarding the family of my great grandmother

Do you know anything else about your great grandmother and her family? Do you have any names and approx birth years? If you have the name of someone born 1901 or before a census search can be done.

If your ggran was born after this, we can try to find her birth record. Give as much info as you have, and we'll try our best to find her and her family.

Her name is Lilian Rose Garrett she was born 2.12.1905 at 2 Pontypwdden Road, (as per birth cert) she is the daughter of William born 1876 and Esther Williams 1881 according to their marriage cert his address was 2 Vine cottages Abertillery and hers was 12 Winifred Terrace Cwmtillery.

William had sisters Sarah 1861 Maria 1863 Elizabeth 1868 and brother John 1872.

In 1901 John was married to a Mary Ann and living at 55 Alma Street

Their parents John died 1879 and Louisa died 1915.



I am looking for descendants of the above - I believe Lilian Rose must have had brothers or sisters but I have no definate info.

There's this birth reg. Elsie M. Garrett, 1912, 3rd qrt. Bedwelty, mother's maiden name Williams. If you want to send for the cert. you'll need this ref. vol 11a page 132.



Also, Leonard Garrett, 1914, 1st qrt. Bedwelty, mother's maiden name Williams. vol 11a page 169.



It's highly likely there are others, but mothers maiden name wasn't listed until 1912, and before that date there were lots of Garrett births registered in Bedwelty.



It's worth considering that as Williams is a common surname, the two births above may not be Lillian Rose's siblings, but without buying the certificates there's no way of telling.



Are you interested in the ancestry of your family, or just Lillian's siblings and their descendants? If you would like census details for Lillian's parents and their families ........you've only to ask.

Thanks for the info I have it on file already leonard died only a few years later.



I have all the census thanks I have been doing this for a year now The Garretts were my priority branch I have them back to 1560 in Camerton Somerset, There were 2 brothers that went to Wales for mining work, Think I've exhausted all avenues and websites maybe one day a welsh descendant will start research and will find me
