hi, my grandad was in the royal navy his name was thomas childs. i hav a photo of him in his uniform i believe he was a petty officer, possibly trained at hms ganges which is where my brother went for his training. I was told he was involved in something to do with wireless or radar i cant remember which. I think it was an invention or something like that. thanks edy
