Thread: Samuel GEORGE

I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction. I am looking for Samuel GEORGE. All I know about him is that he married at St. Martins in the Field in 1821 to Frances KIRK. He later had his son Charles baptised at Chesterfield Parish church (where Frances came from) in 1822 where he is described in the register as "a soldier of London". I cannot trace his birth or place of birth.

Frances later became Housekeeper to Sir Charles Webb DANCE of the 79th Regiment of Foot and wonder if Samuel was a soldier in that regiment but cannot trace him.

Any suggestions?
