How do I find a man who was awarded the Military Cross in WW1?
I only have his surname - Pendered - and he was in the Northants Regiment during WW1. |

You would have to look in the National Archives website. They have WW 1 records online. You should be able to download a medal card from them. i think it costs £3.50.
Hope this helps. Look here: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/d....asp#searching Type surname in the search box and add the dates. Click on WW1 campaign medals. It will bring a list of 21 up there are a 5 listed for the Northants Regiment and one for the Northampshire Yeomanry. Anne. ![]() Last edited by Raven; 19-07-2006 at 11:41 AM. |
