Now know my father was serving on HMS Mylodon, but cannot find any information on that, another brick wall.

Have had a brief look and could be he did he his training there and served on another ship as postcards to my Grandmother come from abroad, hence the HMS Hamilcar search.
By the way I have a cousin Julian Goodchild, Grandparents Gladys and Harry Dew, Gladys was my Nan - Primrose Lovelands sister - any connection?

Hi Valerie,

I don't recognise any of those names. All mine originated in Hampshire and moved to either Co. Durham or Lincolnshire around 1900, with a few still in Hampshire.
