Hi Chris
Really??? I have been reading through some notes tonight and "alledgedly" my Mums Uncle served on this ship during the 2nd world war...."apparently" he survived the sinking of it although thats family lore !! lolOf course being a Shefffielder I really should know the history of "our" ships but alas I only know the HMS Sheffield that was sunk in the Falklands War Hey wonder if ya Dad and my great Uncle worked together... ahh wierd!!Loz ![]() |

Hello Chris My father-in-law served on the sheffield after the Bismark from about 1943,did the Russian and med convoys as a gunner he has pictures too! Also involved in the sinking of the Sharnhorse (excuse spelling)
