Default Looking for some lost Hogg's

I am looking for the family of Thomas (Gavin Zinn) Hogg. He was married to Mary Emma McClanahan, duaghter or John and Mary McClanahan.

Thomas and Mary Emma had a son named Harley Andrew Hogg. He married Grace Lois Goff, daughter of George and Elizabeth Goff.

I am told that the Hogg's I am looking for came from Scotland. Any information would help. Thank you in advance.

I have some confirmed information on my great grandfather. He was born September 29th 1894 in Lecompton, Kansas USA. He died in 1973 in California, USA.

Harley Andrew Hogg's father was named Thomas T. Hogg he was born in the state of Iowa USA in 1869.

The father of Thomas T. Hogg was a man named William Hogg. William Hogg was born in Scotland around 1826. He was a farmer. He was married to a lady named Margaret M. She was born in Scotland around 1837.

William and Margarets children were: William B. (Born 1862 in Iowa, USA) Thomas T. Hogg (born in 1869 in the state of Iowa USA), Gavin T. Hogg (Born in 1864 Iowa USA), Catherine Hogg (born 1866 in Iowa, USA) and James P. (Born in 1873 Kansas USA)

    Hi Bosshog,

The only marriage between a William Hogg and Margaret in Midlothian / Edinburghshire which I can find was in 1844. This would be too early. There is a marriage with a Margaret Murdoch in 1850 but without being able to match it with a child's parents, would be hard to prove.

    New information available.

William Hogg and Margaret Minto Thomson (Thomas?) were married in Canada.

William Hogg is the son of William Hogg and Catherine Bryson. Can you find any information on them?

Margaret Minto Thomas (Thomson?) is the daughter of Gavin Thomas (Thompson?) and Jane Minto.

    All are of Scotland.

    Hi there,

You may want to look at the Scotlandspeople site - I found it really helpful.
