    Hello Ken,

My GG Grandmother was Mary Ann LUCAS b: 11/12/1822 in Hackney MDX. She was married in BOW Parish Church 26/3/1843 to William Edward HATCH.

Her parents were James LUCAS & Sarah. Recently I have come across the 1851 Census and I now believe that James was born in Ongar Essex abt 1795 and Sarah was born Hackney MDX abt 1795, he was a Coachman, I have not found a marriage as yet.

Mary Ann had a brother James b: 1835 at Bromley MDX he was with parents in 1851 as a Labourer & Coachman. In 1861 James jnr was boarding with his sister & family, carman aged 27 and still unmarried.

    Hope this helps, Best Wishes,

    JoGo

Hello Ken, Sorry for the late reply,

Don't know much more about My GG Grandfather James LUCAS born around 1795, only thing I now know from 1851 Census is that he was born in Ongar ESSEX, might be worth looking to see if any of yours originated there, ip until now I was only looking in Middlesex mysself, regards,

    JoGo
