I am looking for any descendants of JAMES HIGGINS & BRIDGET GRIFFIN who married at Kilmovee RC Church on 16 February 1857. Witnesses were JAMES DUFFY & ANNA GRIFFIN. They were living at UGGOOL, KILMOVEE in 1901. James died between 1901-1911 but Bridget was still there in 1911. One of their children was a son JAMES HIGGINS who was born on 10 June 1871. I am trying to determine whether these JAMES HIGGINS's may be my Grandfather and G Grandfather. My Grandfather JAMES HIGGINS went to Prescot Lancashire England prior to 1901 from County Mayo. He married MARY ELLEN COMER (nee Donnelly) in 1902 at Prescot and then in 1905 they were living in Liverpool. My Dad's brother JOHN HIGGINS born 1903 in Prescot Lancashire England is missing from the family in 1911 UK Census and I have found a JOHN HIGGINS (grandson-born in England) aged 7 years living with BRIDGET HIGGINS (Widow) at UGGOOL, KILMOVEE on the 1911 Irish Census. On the 1901 Irish Census Bridget was living with husband JAMES HIGGINS. I know from my Grandfather JAMES HIGGINS's marriage certificate that his father was also JAMES HIGGINS (a Farmer) and the witnesses to his marriage were PATRICK O'DONNELL & CATHERINE ROONEY. My Dad was PATRICK HIGGINS born 1908 in Liverpool England and names of his brothers and sisters were:-JAMES (there were 2 but both died), JOHN, FRANCES, JEFFREY, MARY & MICHAEL.
