My gt grandfather David McIntosh was b, in Londonderry in 1848 according to his marriage certificate. He came to Australia and married another Irish immigrant Mary Gilmore , b 1850 in Londonderry.
David lists his parents as John McIntosh and Martha Lindsay. He must have migrated to Australia before 1876 as this was when he married in Victoria, Australia.
Marys parents are listed as Patrick Gilmore and Mary Dinsey ( or Disney)
I have not been able to find any information on any of these families.
I did try writing to a couple of the churches in hopes of finding details but to no avail.
They were married in a Church of England here , so this probably means they were not Catholic.
Any help would be much appreciated and I know records are hard to find in N. Ireland.
