Researching your family roots in Ireland can be an adventure to say the least. One new link that may help is http://www.cobhnet.com

Cobh, Co Cork was the last port of call for the Titanic, the site hosts many links and Cobh is only thirty minutes from the center of Cork.
When you log into the disscussion forum you will find a new Genealogy thread, that includes lots of other sites to help with your research.
