Although this is a US site, it gives a good idea of the
apprenticeship/journeyman/master progression of blacksmiths. Most trades that had apprenticeships/journeyman/master followed the same path http://www.anvilfire.com/FAQs/app_faq_index.htm Farriers were primarily in the horseshoe business, whereas blacksmiths did horseshoes and other sorts of metal work. |

Had it through on e mail this morning. I've been looking for Blacksmiths stuff myself............one of our rellies was the town blacksmith.
If you look in the Geneology Board under Books there's some detail of a book thats available if its any help to you slizzy. |
