The British Library and Gale ae offering free research. Don't know how long it will last.

Brilliant Victoria,

I hope it stays free for quite a while. I have just found another one of mine that went to prison (7 at latest count). I must remember to print it off tomorrow. I knew he went into a workhouse but I assumed it was because his mother was unable to look after him when his father died. Now I have found that he went to prison for assault on a female first.

Thanks for that. Last time it was free I found my gg grandmother was a bigamist

Heck now 1-15pm didnt relise how long id been reading hope its on for a while
