What a brill site, just found a marriage from 1827 in Shropshire. Didn't know the maiden name of wife, but I do now

It is possible to search for other things beside parish registers on this site. In the search box top left type whatever you are hoping to find, ie visitations, old wills, calendar rolls, a county of interest's history (I tried Yorkshire and got lots of hits) and see what it throws up. There's a host of useful books here, have a play around and you may find something useful, there's lots of American records such as old Maryland wills.
