This looks as though it could be useful for members with Irish ancestors where the census' are missing.

That's quite an interesting link, if only for this snippet found in it:
" Sunday last, Mathew DEAN Esq MP for the city of Cork was married to Miss DAVIS a young lady of great beauty, fine accomplishments and a large fortune"

I wonder which of the three attributes was most attractive to Mr.Dean?

Hi Miss Misty,

There are also many useful bits of information :- e.g

On the morning of Saturday se'nnight, at the parish church of St Mary-le-bone London C STEVENSON Esq to Lady Lucy PERY 3rd daughter of the Earl and Countess of Limerick. They were attended to the church by the Earl of Limerick, Mr Rowland STEVENSON, father of the bridegroom, MrWALKER and two daughters, Mrs WHARTON and the Misses WHARTON and the Hon Mr KNOX. After the ceremony the part returned to the Earl of Limerick's house in Mansfield St, where they received the congratulations of a numerous train of friends and after partaking od agrand breakfast prepared for the occasion, the happy pair set out for Fairly Hill the seat of Mr Rowlans\d STEPHENSON, in Berkshire where they will pass the honeymoon.

I've just been perusing it all and it's fascinating I have a wicked sense of humour so I'm finding lots to interest me. Sadly I can't find anything there about any of my Irish ancestors. Maybe I should be grateful

I am puzzled as to what a skin merchant is though: "A young Amazon in the purlieus of Barrack Street, a few days since, dressed herself in mens' apparel, and enlisted with a recruiting sergeant; She obtained five guineas of her bounty money and contrived to spend it to her liking before the skin merchant"
