    Default BVRI on Ancestry

Don't know if anyone has seen these..

29/8/2008 - records of English baptisms (1530 - 1906) and marriages (1538 - 1940) are now on Ancestry. They do not show up on the front page at the moment.

Ancestry are not upfront about where they are from but the Source Information under the search box shows BVRI 2nd edition, so somewhat patchy in their coverage.

Here are the links for them:

England and Wales Christening Records 1530 -1906 on Ancestry.co.uk

England and Wales Marriage Records 1538 - 1940 on Ancestry.co.uk

Dissappointed! I eventually renewed my ancestry last week... but only the £89 a year one......you can't access the data on BIVRI details ...you need the next sub up (

    Ahh well

    Thanks Raven

I am stuggling with my Grindey side in Staffordshire and as I was looking around I noticed various baptisms...but no place or date would show. I know thats a bit vague...but looking especially for Johns & josephs c 1770-80ish lol and also William Nothing concrete on IGI....so aint holding much hope out....but ya never know!

No rush for looking....lol.. I been searching for them for 6 years now so another few weeks wont matter D

    Thanks once again

Nothing at present Loz, but will have another look soon... as far as I am aware there is only about 40% done.
