Thread: Francis Smith Born Leake Lincs 1807

Francis Smith bap. Leake 1807 , Parents William and Charlotte Smith" took up with *Henry Gumm. (born Ham Surrey1808 baptised Harmondsworth Middx. Parents Thomas and Johannah.
Francis is on 1851, 1861 and 1871 cenuses for Boston Lincs. Henry is sometimes visitor/lodger/head in household.
There are three children; twins Edward and Henry born 1843 Newark Notts and William born 1846 Boston.
Henry and Francis marry in April 1871 in Boston. Address for both 2 Witham green Boston. He is 64 and she 66 and a widow.!? His father Thomas Gumm lab(doesn't say dead but he must be). Her father William smith , lab.
I cannot find Francis Smith on 1841. There is a possible in Burghfield with a daughter Fanny and another possible in Lincs.
I cannot find Henry Gumm/Gum/Gomm/Gammon? on 1841 census either.
I would like to know whether Francis was married before and to whom and whether she was in Nottingham in 1841 . Am certain the twins and William were Henry's offspring (Gumms had twins) and Edward and Henry are family names. Not got their birth certs
Any ideas welcome.

How ever did you find them?
So they were not Gumms after all and Poleta was right about twins coming from the female side!
And Frances wasn't the Frances Smith born Leake.... unless a Smith married a Smith
