Thread: Delaney

Greetings, I'm researching Patrick Henry Delaney b. abt 1840-42 in Knockaroe, Laois. His death certificate in the Janesville, Rock County, Wisconsin vital records, lists James as his father. I'm looking for more information on this family in Laois - anything would be helpful - I have no facts or info from Ireland, unfortunately. So far, I've found a James b. abt 1798 and Anne b. abt 1808 under the spelling Delancy coming to New York on 5 July 1843 on the ship Francis DePau. Children listed are Eleza (liklely Elizabeth) b. abt 1836 , Mary b. abt 1837 , Pat b. abt 1841 and Ellen b. abt 1843. I wonder if this is the family and hope to find out more about them while they were in Ireland and any of their relatives/ancestors, etc.
