John Ashcroft born C:1777-1783 was arrested for stealing cloth from a bleaching ground at Horwich, and transported to Australia on the ship Surrey I..parents unknown
Hanson Howarth was from Manchester, born c1815, was also sent to Australia as a convict, not sure of his crime but was on the ship John II..parents may have been John and Maria.
