Thread: New at this trying to locate

Could someone please help. I would like to know alittle about England My Great--- Grandfather and Mother were born in Little Hutton, Lancashire, England. and Manchester, Lancashire I am tring to figue out where this is at. They were John Bowker and Ellen Smythe born 1574 and 1582. I don't know how far records go back in England.

HI Dennis are you sure on the spelling of the area,i have found LITTLE HULTON its very close to Manchester on the M6 motorway i am guesing it's about half hour away by car ,the railway from Liverpool to Manchester almost runs through it.Can't find a L/Hutton joe

I agree with Joe - certain it is Little Hulton. If you google GENUKI Little Hulton you will find information about the parish.

English parish registers tend to be generally available from 1597 though there are some back to 1538
