Thanks Brian. As Winifred and Walter James were my parents, I already have this information. What I would really like to find out is how and when Winifred got to Camberwell. Also, what happened to the Platt family? I can find no trace. Walter.

Do you have the marriage cert for Winifred & Walter James? Does it give her occupation, and address, which might throw some light on how she ended up in Camberwell. In respect of the Platt family, are you looking back to earlier years of what happened to your three half brothers /sisters?

Hi Brian. I have the marriage certificate but no occupation is shown. Her address was 120 Sumner road, Peckham. If I could find out who was living there as well it might give me a clue. The Platt family should know all of Winifreds history if I could find any of them. Walter
