    Hi elsabels

Unfortunately I can't decipher the full name of the street - I did check directories but didn't come up with anything - I guess I could have missed something!

Good morning Kawil- I dont know if you would consider these roads as Ive had a search for something with BALLY...... and come up with nothing..
    BALFE
    BALFOUR

they are both current Liverpool streets or there is a BAILEYS street

Is it possible to scan in the document and post it - or is there a copyright issue - mods?

Can we try approaching this from another angle. Who was your relative, dob, place etc. do you know what your relatives occ was, that would give some indication of what sort of company Newton & Co were.

Hi Bandit thanks for the listings but I don't think they fit.

Noggin, ancestor was a William James Hibbs born 1886 in Liverpool the name of the company is on a Statement of Disability and shows his trade as a painter. The address is definitely a Liverpool one.

    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    Kay

    Noggin & Rubina,

Thank you for the above. I have just had another look at the address on my document and I think Baltimore Street could be correct! The L of Liverpool obliterates part of it.

I would have posted that part of the doc but I have no idea how to do it!!

    Regards
    Kay

    Rubina,
Does Ancestry show what type of firm Newton & Co was?
