Thread: looking for mccartie,s either in cork ireland,london.

i have my great grandad john mccartie being born in mills st cork,1846,came to london and died in london.on his marriage cert his father was denis mccartie,we beleive he came to england with this father,but we cant find who denis was maried to.would the 1861 census give us where they lived and the names of the peolple living there.it was in surrey john died.many thanks brenda xxx

The 1861 census for Ireland has been destroyed so if the family were still in Ireland then unfortunately you won't find them that way.

i beleive they were in london or england by then brenda xxx
