Thread: Goodwins/Toomey family

Hi Thought I would be the first to start a thread on Kerry.
Im researching the Goodwins from kilshanning Island Castlegregorry TheHennesseys from the same area and from Kerry
Thomas Toumey?Toomey born 4/8/1898 they used different spellings everytime my nan was Ellie Goodwin b 17/3/1897 and grandfather was Thomas Toomey parents were Bartholomew Toomey and Mary Toomey he lived in new street Kerry. They both emigrated at different times to usa met up and married had ALbert known as Tom, Robert,Mary and Jimmy in the Bronx New York. this was in the 1920/30s then they went back to Kerry for a while because my great grandmother Katherine Goodwin(Hennessey) was dying then they all went to london then back to new york my mother movedback to london with her mother and brothers then she married my dad Ron Bird stayed and the rest went back to New York, Still with me I hope. so managd to get back to 1800s on grandmothers side but having problems with grandfathers side, just found out he died in london in 1960.....he had several brothers one called con who worked in the big hotels in kerry and a sister called Mary who went to the states. If this rings a bell with any one would love to hear from you.
