Hi,
One of my great-great-great-grandparents was Elizabeth Hills. She was born in Boughton Aluph in 1828 and married William Eldridge who was born in West Hythe in 1824. William was a farmer with 22 acres according to the 1881 census. Elizabeth's mother was Eliza, born in Eastwell in 1803.
I would be delighted to have any information on the Hills or Eldridge family trees you may have and would be willing to share what information I have on the extended family tree.
Thanks,
Clive
Hi Jenny
I have Hills from Hinxhill in my tree. Thomas Hills b c 1791 was my 4 x great grandfather through his daughter Charlotte Hills. Any links?
Helen
Hi,
I have since found out that Elizabeth's Hills parents were William Hills (b.1792) and Eliza Goldup (b.1803). They had another daughter called Charlotte (b.1833) who I think married Charles Ward (not sure of this). There is a son Thomas (b.1827).
There probably is a link somewhere. Elizabeth's family is the only Hills I have any information on.
Thanks,
Clive
Hi Clive
William, Charlotte and Thomas are all names which recur in my Hills family. I suspect that William might be a brother of my Thomas. I will see if I can find him on my next rawl through the registers.
best wishes
Helen
I descend from Thomas Hills (son of William Hills and Eliza Goldup).
