Thread: Jacques Domenique Samson

Can anyone in Jersey please help me. My G.G.G. grandfather Jacques Domenique Samson, was born in France and was buried in St Helier 11/12/1840 aged 49 years and 4 months. Making his birth abt 1791. He is listed as a barber (which I understand can also mean a sugeon in that era. He had a son Auguste Samson who married Jane Elizabeth Du Feu. Auguste was also born in France (possibly a British Subject) about 1823.
Anything to help me track the family back to Jacques or before would be very appreciated.
