Hi ,
I have been a member for a few weeks now but not yet introduced myself, I call myself er indoors because my other half refers to me as that. So you can tell my age range, I have 3 grown up daughters and 3 grandchildren.
A liverpool lass who was a teenager in the swinging 60 s. Saw the 4 tops live at the Mardi Gras, knew the searchers and dated the manager of the Victoriana Club. However,
Now I feel like a dinosaur I do not remember the day I became old. I look in the mirror and somebody else is looking back at me. Look at my daughters and can not believe how much time has passed, I never thought I would reach 21 it sounded so old when I was 16.
I began tracing the family tree about 1 year ago, gave up and have now restarted again.
I seam to have far much more luck with other peoples trees than ours, Lots of merchant navy seamen in the family but as yet not sussed out how to track them down.
Family stories that are not quite what they seamed, a bigamous marriage, a man appeared from Yorkshire and unable to confirm his parents.
So I wonder why I still carry on, Maybe one day it will all make sense, I wish I had listened to my mother in law who talked non stop about her family and I used to switch off. Some of it I remember but not enough.
Anyway, Thank you to all the people who have helped me get as far as I have.
no doubt I will ask even more questions which will seam stupid to you more experienced people and If I stick with it you will see Er indoors on the message boards in the future.
Best of luck to you all
Jacky

It's often a "woods an trees" scenario....and a fresh pair of eyes tells you what has been staring in your face for ages!!
Good luck with your research
